Department of Physics is established in June 1994. The programme offered by the department is B.Sc. The department runs the classes of F.Y. B.Sc. & S.Y. B.Sc. Department has one full-time sanctioned post.
The department has sufficient infrastructure which includes one laboratory & one separate dark- room. The Department has shared common LCD projector. The department has a good collection of books in the central library. It also has a fair number of quality CDs/ DVDs and charts related to Physical Sciences that enable us to arrange screenings for students from time to time. To improve the student learning by the department, the Department of physics is actively imparting the knowledge of subject by adopting the lecture method, question- answer method, and ICT based teaching methods. The department encourages the students of the department to participate in various competitions, such as model and poster presentation, Sansatha level Research Avishkar Competition, Cultural programs, etc. The future plan of the department is to run Physics as B.Sc. course.
