- About Library -


In educational system library is a bridge between the teaching and learning process. Beyond scope of class rooms, library is the only place which extends user’s knowledge. Library always focuses on providing right information to right user at right time.

College library was established with the commencement of the college in 1994, apart from it we have also departmental libraries to some departments, library provides them all kinds of assistance our library has enriched with 12400+ book collections, 30+ journals, 86 CDs and DVDs etc.

Library has subscribed N-LIST e-books and e-journals consortia. Its remote access is available for all college members. College has near about 32 rare books that list has been uploaded on library webpage.

We use LIBRERIA ILMS software for library management. Library is partially automated with LIBRERIYA 3.0 version. Software’s all modules are running successfully i.e. Acquisition, Cataloguing, Circulation, Serial Control, Administration and OPAC...etc Web-OPAC facility are made available for users on library web page.

The Library has an Advisory Committee known as Library Committee. Every year college constitutes Library Committee for its smooth functioning. The main objective of the Library Committee is to decide and adopt policies for the library services and program of the library. The committee also looks into the students grievances, if any. In each semester, a meeting of the library committee is called.

Library Rules

1. Students should produce their admission fees receipt while registering their name in the library
2. Those who werebonafide students of this college during previous academic year should produce their last year ID card and current admission fee receipt during registration. They should pay identity card pricerupees 50/- and borrowers card pricerupees 15/-
3. If identity card is lost the concerned student has to pay a fine of rupees 50 and rupees 50/- as identity card price
4. The previous years’borrower’s card / libraries books (if any) should be returned to the library before registration. Only one borrower’s card will be issued to a student and he/she can borrow only two books at a time.
5. Talent batch/ Advance learner students can get two borrow cards.
6. Book borrowed on card can be kept for maximum period of seven days.
7. A fine of Rs.01 will be charged par day on each book returned after the prescribed due date.
8. Extra fine will be levied if it is observed that the book has been damaged.
9. If any book is lost the concerned student has to return replacement copy of the same book, latest edition or he has to pay the double price of the book as per latest prices.
10. Owner of the borrower’s card will be totally responsible for the book borrowed on it.
11. All transactions shall be made on the counter only.
12. Periodicals, handbooks, reference books and question papers will be issued on Identity card to refer in the library only. If not return in time (same day) the fine will be charged rupees one per day.
13. Members are requested to handle the Library reading materials with utmost care. Mutilation, writing, scribbling, marking, cutting pages has been strictly prohibited.
14. Users are requested to bring their ID card issued by the Institute while coming to the Library. The ID card is a must for borrowing Library resources, and is non-transferable.
15. Faculty and staff going on long leave, with or without salary, deputation, study leave, or extraordinary leave will have to return all borrowed materials before leaving the institute.
16. No material from the Library should be taken out without proper issuing/ recording. Any type of violation may lead to a disciplinary action



Reading Room:

1. As in the Library’s reading rooms, eating, drinking, cell phones, sleeping, and smoking are not allowed.
2. Kindly maintain the equipment in the study room and use it with care.
3. The Library is not responsible for personal belongings in the study rooms.
4. The Library being a place for individual study and research, members are requested to maintain an atmosphere of dignity, peace and silence within the Library premises.
5. Users are requested to bring their ID card issued by the Institute while coming to the Library.
6. The ID card is a must for borrowing Library resources, and is non-transferable.
