Department of Chemistry

Department of Chemistry was established in June 1994. The purpose behind the establishment was to give an opportunity to bring the student from remote area to higher education in chemical sciences. The Department of Chemistry has specious and well equipped laboratory. The Department runs one certificate course entitled “Certificate Course in Soil & Water Analysis”. The Department has four full time sanctioned posts. One faculty has Ph. D. Degree, one has registered for Ph. D. and are engaged in the research activities. The Department has good collection of books in Central as well as Departmental Library. Department secure a good number placements for students. The Department of Chemistry has organized National level Seminar, Conference and two regional level workshops. The students were participated in various competitions such as Avishkar, poster and model presentation, Cultural Programmes and Sport activities. Recently, two students were selected in selection round of Zonal level Avishkar Research Convection-2018, University of Mumbai, Mumbai. Dr. S. S. Karhale and Mr. B. A. Bulakhe recently sanctioned the BCUD minor research projects from University of Mumbai, Mumbai.
